On Trend: Shades of Turquoise

Turquoise is all the rage right now, gracing the necks, wrists, and fingers of fashion-forward people everywhere. Known as one of the oldest protection stones, turquoise has been used in jewelry for centuries, valued for both its beauty and mystical healing properties. Polished or raw, its vibrant color pops in a soothing, pleasant way.

Radiating on the color scale anywhere between blue and green, it brings with it the tranquil properties of blue as well as the natural expansion and growth of green. Uplifting and calming, it’s an ideal color with which to adorn yourself and your home. Whether it’s painted on the wall or presented in an accent, turquoise can create an environment conducive to balance and stability as well as clarity and open communication – plus, it’s just plain gorgeous!

  1. Right there with ya, sister! I LOVE the light fiurxte. I saw something so similar yesterday at a store. We will keep our island, but need lighting over it, and I love this choice. We installed two small track lights, small bulbs, pewter finish, in the kitchen so far. We had to remove the ugly 70 s fluorescent light, and we don’t want to rewire yet (because we still want to gut it). It will do for now, and wow, what a diffrence! I can actually see. I bet the paint change made huge difference in your house too.
