Going Green With Pantone’s 2013 Color Of The Year
Embrace the restorative power of green in the new year. Give special attention to the color that’s going to be big: Emerald. Pantone announced it as the color of the year for 2013 at the recommendation of an international ensemble of color forecasters.
In contrast to 2012′s outspoken reddish-orange Tangerine Tango, Emerald lends itself more to meditation and reflection with its verdant vibe. It’s also masculine enough to support pre-existing relationships and shared living spaces. Then there are the other connections to the color worth noting: the Emerald City of Oz fame, the Emerald Isle for those of Irish heritage, and gemstone jewelry.
Will you invite Emerald and supporting hues into your home next year? Will you start small or dive into a painting project? Tell us how you’ll use it in the comments below!
