I’m Annette Joseph, a lifestyle producer and photo-stylist for major national magazines and regular lifestyle contributor to the Today Show.
Recently I was asked to participate in a very special charity project with Room Service Atlanta, an organization that remodels and redecorates homes for adult and children’s shelters across the Atlanta metro area.
In short, the project consists of a group of like-minded, independent professional designers who want to give back to the community in a big way. The recipient of this year’s project was The United Methodist Children’s Home (UMCH) in Decatur, Georgia.
Over the past year, I’ve worked with hayneedle.com, blogging and creating how-to videos. Our relationship has grown, so it was natural for me to reach out to hayneedle.com to help me with this project. The cottage on the grounds of UMCH houses young men, ages 17-21, who are transitioning into the working world. Each designer was asked to decorate a room; I felt lucky to be part of this amazing design project.
Thanks to hayneedle.com I was able to get a handful of foundation pieces, like the amazing modernized classic chesterfield-style sofa, modern chair, and rugs (in the living room and bedroom areas). The contemporary pub table set will function as a great place to snack and study. Thank you to everyone at hayneedle.com – you’ve made a difference in someone’s life, and that’s the best part!
