Babies, babies everywhere! It seems like every other person is pregnant these days – including our super-savvy guest blogger Reichel Broussard of Copy Cat Chic! (Congrats, Reichel!) Here, in her characteristically chic style, Reichel shares a few of her top picks for newborn tots …
If you missed my big announcement, here’s a little recap for you. We’re expecting another little bundle of joy in November! And even though it’ll be baby number two, we still need a few good all-around useful items. We definitely saved a bunch of things the first time around, like toys, bedding and those first, precious newborn clothes, but it’s definitely time to take stock and prepare for the coming of baby deux. I wanted to upgrade a few of the items this time around and get more organic products, like sheets, towels, etc. And I just think it’s nice to give the new baby some new things of his/her own, if at all possible.
Here are a few of my favorite items on my hayneedle.com baby registry.
A good swaddler is a must-have for those early months. It’s amazing how much sounder your little one will sleep.
A nice place to throw your feet up is always a good idea, and a pouf works perfectly.
Ahhh, this chair … what I would do for this chair! Just looking at it makes me picture nice long (and comfy) midnight nursing sessions. The one I have now in Arden’s room works great for story time, but it’s not built for late-night nursing/nap sessions, that’s for sure.
A new, solid, functional crib. Definitely required. And good lookin’? Always a plus! We sold Arden’s crib, so we are definitely needing a new one.
An organic hooded towel to make those first baths a little more cozy and comfy.
Of course a nice, soft washcloth is great to get that newborn skin clean.
This comes a little later on, but still very necessary. I love the Tripp Trapp because it grows with your child. Arden has one and loves it, but she still uses it, so we’ll definitely need another one!
